- Potsdam FSC's Spring School.
Both St Lawrence and Massena's Spring Schools had low enrollment attributed, at least in part,
to Potsdam FSC's spring school, especially since the rates were relatively low. A discussion ensued with
it resolved that a meeting before the next Northern Council Meeting should be called
to resolve the issues of Fall and Spring Schools.
- New Business:
- Election.
Colleen was elected secretary and Linda LaRue was elected VP – congratulations.
- May Meeting. Bill supplied a report – see
Governing Council report.
- Meeting with U.S. Figure Skating's Eastern VP.
The meeting will take place in Lake Placid on either Wednesday 8/2/06
or Thursday 8/3/2006.
- MIF School.
There will be a MIF School in Potsdam. Brenda will check to see if we can do it
in conjunction with the summer school test session at Cheel.
- IJS at non-quals. A number of clubs feel
they need to use the IJS at non-quals or the number of competitors will
drop off. The down side is it takes a couple more officials to conduct
the competition and there are few certified technical panel officials
in our part of the country. What to do? No resolution.
- Club concerns
- Next meeting: 7:00pm, June 20th, 2006 –
St. Lawrence Centre Mall, Massena
Note: Fall / Spring Schools for Massena, Potsdam and St. Lawrence FSCs
will be discussed at 6:30.
- Adjournment.
