Additions and changes
were presented. (An updated calendar is attached.) Our
web site is updated as items are given to

New Business:
Annual USFSA Meeting - The meeting was held May 8-12 in Las
Vegas. Bill and Dianne attended. They presented the following information:
The membership year will change from October 1-September 30 to July 1-June 30 beginning with
the 2002-2003 season.
(This will be a concern for our clubs that do not offer year-around programs.
It will affect Summer Schoold and testing in this area.)
Membership dues will increase from $15 to $20 beginning with the 2002-2003 season.
USFSA online registration will soon available.
Sunchro teams will be assessed a $10 registration fee.
Bill and Dianne also have information on STAR (Serving The American Rinks), a company
formed jointly by USFSA and US Hockey which is designed to create
relationships with arena owners and operators in order to support their efforts
to operate their businesses profitably and efficiently.

An independent drug testing agency, USADA, will take over the task of drug testing
in October, 2000. Website: http://www.usantidoping.org.
Club Officers should have received information about the PSA Apprentice Program and
the USFSA Bridge Program.
Presentations were made about both of these programs.
Some changes were made in Adult Testing.
Judges' School A Competition Judges' School will be held in Lake Placid
in conjunction with the Freeskating Competition
(Note: The school is on July 13th and 14th, 2001.
If there is a demand a MIF school will also be held.
North Council Elections - The following slate of officiers was presented by the
Nominating Committee: President - Bill Mein; Treasurer - Linda McDonald.
The slate will be voted on in June.
Announcements:
Jim Murphy, Test Chair from Cortland, will present his computer program designed
to support test chairs in August.
This program prints test forms, schedules, reports to USFSA,
judges' sheets, dance forms with diagrams, and even computes the
amount to send to USFSA.
There is no longer a conflict between the NYS Regents schedule and the
Synchro Competition as the competition has been changed to
January 31-February 3, 2002.
Club Concerns:
many clubs delegate proxies for the Annual Meeting were not submitted to USFSA.
Bob questioned whether one person could represent more than one club.
