Northern Council By-Laws -
Work on the NC By-Laws continues
Judges school -
Work on the judges' school continues
Surveys -
Data from two surveys regarding the purpose of NC was presented.
The data from all reports received by May 1 will be compiled and distributed.
Annual USFSA Meeting -
The meeting will be held May 8-12 in Las Vegas.
Bill and Dianne will attend.
The deadline for submitting club forms to declare delegates was February 16.
If your club has not submitted this form, they will be accepted past the deadline.
In order for your club to receive a copy of what occurs at the Annual Meeting,
delegate names must be submitted.
The deadline for submitting proxy forms is April 13.
If no one from ygur club will be attending, your club may designate Bill (USFSA # 299511) or
Dianne (USFSA # 646224) as proxy for your club. .
North Council Elections -
The positions of president and treasurer are open this year.
A Nominating Committee needs to be appointed in April.
Slate will be presented in May and voted upon in June.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, contact Bill.
New Business -
NEICC Seminar and Book Meeting Day -
The New England Inter Club Council is sponsoring this event on May 5 in Windsor Locks, CT
(This is 4-5 hours away.).
There are seminars for many of the areas of your club -Competition, Testing, Synchro,
Club Issues, USFSA Issues, Judging. Registration is due April 1.

Regents Exams and Synchro Competitions -
NYS January 2002 Regents Exams are scheduled for January 22-25.
The 2002 Eastern Synchro Competition is scheduled for January 24-27.
There are at least eight NY teams that will be affected.
NC will make the referee, the local organizing committee, and USFSA aware of the situation.
Note: Bill will notify the Synchro Competition Vice Chair about this so he
can factor it in when determining the schedule for Easterns.
2002 Easterns were changed to one week later so it is not
an issue next year.

Announcements:
Jim Murphy, Cortland, has created a computer program to support test chairs.
This program prints test forms, schedules, reports to USFSA, judges'
sheets, dance forms with diagrams; and even computes the amount to send to
USFSA.
NC will sponsor a seminar with Jim as presenter at the August meeting (August 21).
The meeting will be held in Potsdam as it is the most centrally located.
Bill will find a place where computers will be available.
A suggestion to sponsor a day similar to the NEICC Seminar and Book Meeting Day was made.
Another suggestion was to hold a workshop on interpreting competition scores.
The Silicon Valley Open is scheduled for August 16-19.
Watertown is having its first Basic Skills competition on March 31.
Concerns: Clubs need to work to comply with IRS and
State regulations.
