- Calendar updates - Bill. Note: Competition
announcements are placed on the U.S. Figure Skating web site
when they receive the completed sanction application. Bill sends test
session information to the U.S. Figure Skating for posting on
their web site.
- May Meeting:
- MIF. Many changes are proposed - see US Figure
Skating for the latest.
- Eastern VP. There was a contest for the
Eastern VP - Ann O'Keefe and Troy Goldstein.
Ann O'Keefe won rather handily.
- Novice synchro teams may now have 4 skaters who are 17 or 18.
- Eliminate the Synchro Open Junior Division by deleting rules 4750 and 4751 Open Junior (page 399 Rulebook) and any other
references to the open junior division.
- Modified well-balance programs for all the synchro levels except Junior and Senior
(they are set by the ISU).
- Synchro Alternates at Qualifying Competitions Each synchronized skating team may have alternates listed on
the team roster. The maximum number of
alternates is four. Teams may have a total of four athletes on their roster in addition
to the maximum number permitted on the ice for their respective level.
- 2010 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships March 3-5, 2010;
Minneapolis, Minn.; hosted by the Twin City Figure Skating Association
- 2011 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships March 2-5, 2011;
Ontario, Calif.; hosted by the Glacier Falls Skating Club.
- 2010 Governing Council will be held at the Hilton Orange County hotel, Costa Mesa,
Calif., April 28 to May 2, 2010.
