   1. Calendar updates - Bill. Note: Competition announcements are placed on the U.S. Figure Skating web site when they receive the completed sanction application. Bill sends test session information to the U.S. Figure Skating for posting on their web site.

      1. 37. Technical Committee
         There were many appointments to technical panels.
      2. 52. Coaches Committee
         A policy for a mandatory education requirement for all U.S. Figure Skating member coaches with the criteria and plan for implementation to be formulated and presented no later than May 2008. In conjunction with the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), U.S. Figure Skating would require the mandatory education requirement for the 2008-09 season.
      3. 53. Membership Development group
         Increase Basic Skills fees by $2.50, bringing the fee to $7.50 per skater.
      4. 99 - 118. Singles Committee
         Approved No-test Well Balanced Program requirements: Maximum of 5 jump elements, maximum of 2 spins of a different nature and one step sequence.
         Made modifications with other levels to get the test requirements and the competition requirements in line with each other.
      5. 119. Tests Committee
         Delete in its entirety Synchronized Skating Tests.
      6. 121. Tests Committee
         TR 9.01 and 9.03 Test Fees (page 173) - amend by the following increase in fees.
         TR 9.01 " ... $ 3  4 per test if registered on line and $4 5 6 per test if manually submitted ..."
         TR 9.03 " ... Candidates who are member of member associations of the ISU (except Skate Canada) who are not members of U.S. Figure Skating or of a member club shall pay a fee of $ 5  10, in addition to the regular test fees, for each U.S. Figure Skating free skate, pairs, moves in the field or class of dance tests taken at any one (1) test period or session. The fee for members of Skate Canada who are not members of U.S. Figure Skating or of a member club shall be $ 1  2 in addition to the regular test fee.."
      7. 136. Membership Committee
         Proposed new MR 5.09 to define a member coaches’ registration fee requirement and to amend rule 3032 for consistency.
         MR 5.09 Coach’s Registration Fee
         
         Each coaching member shall pay an annual registration fee as outlined below in addition to the annual membership fee:
         If a current PSA member with general liability
         Insurance through PSA or proof of current general
         Liability insurance with limits of $1 million
         Per occurance/$5 million aggregate: A fee not to exceed $40.
         All other coaches: A fee not to exceed $170
         Coaches will still need to become full members of U.S. Figure Skating through either their home club or as an individual member but this is an added coaches registration requirement that bundles these necessary services together making it automatic to include a current rulebook, sport accident insurance and coaches’ liability insurance. Headquarters would obtain a criminal background screening on coach members.
         3032 Any coach being credentialed for a U.S. Figure Skating qualifying competition is required to be a member of both U.S. Figure Skating and the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and must have paid the annual Coach’s Registration Fee required under MR 5.09.
      8. 142. Board Report
         To implement the YEAR 1 recommendations that are contained in the Competitions Task Force report. In summary, YEAR 1 recommendations are:
         • Mandatory on line registration except adult and collegiate
         • 2007/08 Juv/Int pairs and dance advance directly to the U.S. Junior Championships (optionally compete at sectionals)
         • Novice pairs and dance advance directly to sectionals
         • Limit use of exchange judges to limit LOC costs
      9. 143. Board Report
         Approved to institue an administrative fee for each entrant entry at all qualifying competitions in the amount of $10.00 for regionals, sectionals, synchronized sectionals and adult sectional qualifying events.
      10. 145. Board Report
          That no qualifying competitions may be sanctioned by the Competitions Committee during either the final weekend of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, unless prior approval is obtained from the Board of Directors and extenuating circumstances can be clearly demonstrated and justified.
